World View on Loving One’s Parents

Param Pujya Shree Asaram BapuJi may have been incarcerated by the Government based on vacuous allegations by the media but his ideas refuse to die down. Matr Pitr Pujan Divas, a day for loving one’s parents is an original conception of our beloved BapuJi and it has met with great applause from all over the world. Religious leaders, political leaders and thought leaders everywhere have resonated similar views, because they understand what BapuJi is trying to accomplish. The world is becoming self-centric, little by little, every day, so much so, that people are forgetting to love their begetters. The same parents who gave them life, cared for them, nurtured them and made them capable of dealing with the harshness that life often throws at us. Matr Pitr Pujan Divas is an appeal to the young men and women all over the globe to come together in showing love to their parents; the most deserving of all.

From ministers like Shree Bhupinder Hooda to Shree Rajnath Singh and film personalities from Bollywood actor Govinda to Arun Govil, have all spoken in praise of the initiative taken by BapuJi and his followers. Religious leaders of Islam like Shree Hamid Chishti of the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah have spoken in favour of the day that aims to put one’s parents in spotlight by showing affection and pampering them instead of spending time in pursuit of ephemeral ideals like romantic love. Famous devotional music artist Shree Anup JalotaJi said that this message by BapuJi will make our lives beautiful and Congress MP Shree Sanjay Nirupam have welcomed the steps taken by His Holiness BapuJi.

It is clear that the initiative of beloved Asaram BapuJi has gone down well with all quarters of the society and it sure looks like this day is going to be a great success.

Collective roar of Sant Samaj demands quick action in Pujya Bapuji case

In response to the act of sabotage that is being carried out by detractors, the greater Sant Samaj gathered in Surya Nagri in Jodhpur. The motive of this gathering was to awaken the society to the truth about AsaramJi Bapu's case. A mass gathering was addressed by eminent Saints present at the occasion and educated about the conspiracy plotted and executed by the enemies of the society. Speakers who took to the stage pointed in the direction of Christian Missionaries who saw BapuJi as their sworn enemy and maligning him was nothing but a part of the greater ploy of tainting Hinduism and the Sanatana Dharma. The outcome of that same strategy was imprisonment of Sankaracharya, Swami Nithyanand and Jayendra Saraswati.

Sants ask - if committee for judge, why not one for Pujya Bapuji

When allegations were made against a judge, the government instituted an inquiry commission to find the truth, but when similar charges were made against an established and popular Saint like AsharamJi Bapu, nothing was done, instead he was jailed immediately.

Sants to meet president and sit on jail bharo andolan

It was further announced that Sants were planning to meet with the President of India and even sit on a Jail Bharo Andolan if their demands were not met at the earliest. Besides announcing their plan to move judiciary for justice, they also inspired masses to unite and raise their voice for justice.

Social and political influencers make appearance at sammelan

Increasing involvement of political and social movers in BapuJi's case is evidence of the growing support that he has been getting recently. Renowned Bollywood personalities and famous politicians from all over the nation are thronging to Sant Sammelans to offer their unconditional support to his cause. A call was made to all present on the occasion to rise to bring Pujya Shree out of jail.

Love and Devotion of Mata Laxmi Devi a benchmark for millions of Indian women to follow

Indian woman have been revered and celebrated all over the world for their greatness and values, Indian woman in the past was a source of mystery to social thinkers and continue to intrigue thinkers even to this day. Back in the day when Indian women were away from the influence of western civilization and there wasn't anything to divert their attention, the nation thrived under the care and nourishment of its mothers, unfortunately we cannot say the same today when countless factors influence how Indian women think and behave. This is indeed alarming because the nation depends on its mothers. Education begins at home and unless mothers are well educated themselves how will they be able to lead their families down the right path?

When the entire country thought that it had lost the archetypal Indian woman Mata Laxmi Devi came to the scene with her impeccable devotion and love towards her husband. Her devotion was seen in contrast to what was happening around the nation and that was a welcome change. The woman in her was the same that we have heard about in scriptures and respected as demi-gods in our culture. Her presence around Pujya BapuJi was similar to ideal Indian families that the western civilization held in awe and respect. She is the perfect embodiment of the perfect Indian woman and she is infallible in her trust of BapuJi.

She fondly remembers her meeting and marriage with Pujya BapuJi and she recounts how he had helped her get rid of her worldly pleasures and concentrate on more realistic and transcendental treasures like Satsang and religious books. Due to his influence on her, Mata Laxmi Devi has undergone a radical transformation, she begun on the path of self-realization and feel God's grace. Param Pujya AsaramJi Bapu has instilled in her speciality to see though the outwardly facade and understand the real value in every human being, she along with million other supporters of Bapu realize that her Spiritual Leader has been accused of a crime that he did not commit.

At a time such as this when our sisters are confused, our country needs to respect and follow the example shown by our revered Mata Laxmi DeviJi and not believe in what is being said about Pujya Shree.

Journey from Darkness to Light

The auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranti would have been a million times better if we had revered BapuJi in our midst delivering his divine nectar of knowledge, but the conspirators of this country deprived us of our rights by falsely implicating the Kind Leader. Nonetheless his words of knowledge and enlightenment rings through the air and will continue to inspire us even in the darkest hours. We specially appeal to the enemies of this nation that they partake of this great knowledge and enlighten their lives.

January 14th is celebrated all over India as The Uttarayana festival. The significance of this festival is that on this day Sun God begins its northward journey and from this day onwards days become longer and nights shorter. Ancient sages instituted this festival in order that men change their course of life and get rid of their lower senses and focus on the higher chakras in life which is occupied by the seat of selflessness, divine love and bliss. This is the right time for resolving to turn a new leaf and life and do the right thing despite incentives to do otherwise. Those that have conspired against Pujya BapuJi should not let this auspicious moment go by without making the most out of it.

It has been taught by sages throughout ages that every man is controlled by his thoughts and every thought derives its source from you attitude. Perhaps the biggest difference between the Indian psychology and the western psychology is that when Indians take pride in restraining their desires all the while striving to awaken the supreme consciousness within, whereas, Westerners are more concerned about pleases their bodily senses in complete disregard of the Atmaa within.

More than 40 years of selfless service that continues

More than 40 years of selfless service by Pujya Shree BapuJi and his family is a matter that cannot be trivialized. The 4 long decades have been rife with adversities and challenges but at no stage have AsaramJi Bapu flinched or thought twice about his personal discomforts. He followed wherever natural calamities or catastrophes followed, carrying the message of love and kindness with him all along. This great act of Saintliness and cannot and should not be discounted. Unfortunately those that wish nothing but ill for BapuJi have forgotten all of that in their craze to make money with downright cheap content on their channels.

Supporters of the Saint have been forced to endure dire insults on the name of their Spiritual leader and everyone connected to him. There is no doubt in the minds of millions of supporters that a dark conspiracy is at play here but what appals and shocks every one is the apathy of media channels towards general public. It has now become very clear that these media houses will stop at nothing when it comes to printing money.

The general public who knew nothing of the Kind AsaramJi Bapu is equally shocked how a particular section of the media and politicians have targeted Hindu Saints solely based on their religion! Not only that, they have also pulled in completely innocent women and children in their folds of conspiracy without stopping for a moment what would happen to the unfortunate families and their near and dear ones. The untold miseries that have caused are only left to the imagination of the compassionate masses because apparently those that have the baton are definitely not interested in doing what they have been entrusted with.

But these conspirators who harbour nothing but negative sentiments and hatred are realizing it the hard the hard way that no matter how hard they try they will never succeed in shaking the faith or dislodge the trust which supporters have placed in their leaders. The point we all need to imbibe deep into our hearts is that all negative representation is the outcome of vested interests driven by the greed of power be it political or apolitical.

3 Reasons why Asaramji Bapu must be released ASAP

Injustice gets done to the innocent and what has happened this time was beyond the wildest dreams of people of this nation. Not only was an innocent Saint jailed, he was vilified to an extent that left the nation in a state of shock. A section of the media made a lot of money riding on this wave of infamy and ridicule at the expense of innocent families. In the case of the unfortunate Gurgaon family, three media channels did not even stop short of disgracing a minor girl in order to make the news item appealing. And at the core of all these heinous crimes is a false excuse that is nothing but a sham for the media houses to hide their ulterior motives of making more money by serving unfair, biased and false information. All these will stop the moment BapuJi comes out of jail. Here are 5 more reasons why AsaramJi Bapu must be released from jail ASAP.

1. Restore faith in saints: The dastardly attack made on the purity of Hindu saints and ashrams around the nation has left many shocked and worried. People who know the truth understand that there is a conspiracy at play which must be avoided at all costs, but times are difficult for those who were new to the fold and those who were contemplating on joining the fold. Without faith the world will soon become a rudderless ship and therefore for the greater good of the society, our kind AsaramJi Bapu must be released.

2. Without saints the society will fall apart: Saints are an integral part of the society. Just as wheel run around on a spoke, the society requires Holymen and Saints for smooth operations. Without them socities will come to a grinding halt and there will be nothing to help. Our rich history is full of anecdotes that sing praises of saints who sacrificed their lives in order to restore peace and order in the society around them. You will have witnessed several instances when violence has raised its ugly head and caused untold misery and anxiety until the intervention of Saints. Without their Spiritual leaders, people easily get misled by the distractions of the world which is why it is necessary that Sant Shree AsaramJi Bapu is released at the earliest.

3. For the welfare of women and children: Perhaps no one thought about the welfare of women and children than Pujya Shree, 800 schools run under the auspices of BapuJi and scores of Ashrams in every part of the nation look after the need of women who are rejected by their families for one reason or the other. Without BapuJi by their side these women and children will be left without a roof over their heads and an empty stomach. It is therefore necessary to release Pujya Shree AsaramJi Bapu for the sake of the poor and socially underprivileged.

Moving Powers Against Hindu-Drohi Media

Our democracy is a great country which has always treated all its citizens with equality and ensured equal rights for all. There has been very few incidents that can be treated as exception to this, but when that happens, history has recorded reactions that forced oppressors to rectify their mistakes and mend their ways.

The current situation regarding AsaramJi Bapu is no exception. In the last few months there has been attack after attack in Hindu saint for no fault and on top of that the media has brought about untold harm by dishing out lopsided false information.

With the exception of a few, there has been close to no voice seeking the truth until now. In what appears to be unprecedented, thousands of Sadhaks used Twitter to lodge a strong protest against paid media and biased law enforcement forces that have dealt several blows 'under the belt'. This incident happened in such a large scale that media houses tool notice of it reported about it.

In another closely related incident, protesters gathered around the District Commissioner's office and presented a memorandum requesting the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to action against these media channels and bring culprits to book.

Meanwhile, we must remember to be cautious about believing in news articles presented in media. Some powers with vested interests are at play and they have very good reasons to see our beloved BapuJi behind bars. In protest against those, let us decide not to watch such news channels and logde strong protests through social media channels like Twitter and Facebook.

Even Learned Law - Keepers Err

No one is above the law and there have been numerous occasions when law and order has blundered. There is no denying the fact that dispensing justice is not the easiest of task and those in the profession of up-keeping law face a gargantuan task in bringing all to task. But when a big miss comes to light one cannot but stand up and take notice of the matter. With the arrest of AsaramJi Bapu and his son, many are invoking the question - could the law have erred?

In a democratic country, we do posses the right to express our opinions without fear of retribution and clearly no one is in violation of those in question developments since His Holiness AsaramJi Bapu was arrested recently. It is noteworthy that there have been lapses here too, but thankfully remedial action has since been taken. It is not lost to public cognizance that prosecutors gunning against Narayan Sai moved the court and obtained a non-bailable arrest warrant which was later absolved by the court considering the fact that an NBW may not be issued to arrest any person, hence all these time Narayan Sai was falsely labelled an absconder. It is quite ridiculous that a section of the press has taken this and blown it out of proportion to such an extent that the general population began taking this falsity for granted. Thankfully, the recent court stand comes as a welcome breather for BapuJi and his family from the continuous onslaught of propaganda spread by detractors of the spiritual leader.

What we are hinting at is the possibility of more blunders by the court and the law. Given the highly motivated and powerful detractors of BapuJi, one cannot completely rule out deeper conspiracies and conspirators at play here. Sant AsaramJi Bapu has been hinting at the possibility of a conspiracy and given his impressive track record of speaking out against powerful and corrupt politicians, he definitely has some very irate and resourceful enemies. When Congress faced a defeating blow in the recent assembly elections, BapuJi commented that the truth will prevail and it has only begun.

If famous dignitaries like Kanchi seers can stay shrouded in clouds of doubt for 9 long years, we would not be surprised if law takes equally long to come out with the truth.

Sad deviation of media from the path of truth

Humans have been critical and noxious since time immemorial; there is little novelty in that. Even today with the enlightenment of education, nothing much seems to have changed, which is very unfortunate.

What is even more painful is the harsh truth that His Holiness AsaramJi Bapu who has spent the greater part of his life unto the service of mankind was not spared? The saint has always been advising his disciples about being truthful and remaining closely associated with a life that is filled with nothing but the truth. The kind Bapu never for a moment rested from his job of spreading the gospel of love, truth, honouring women, helping the poor and educating children. Following his teachings millions have chosen the right path and brought about positive changes in their societies, states and thus to the entire world.

Media, which is considered the fourth pillar of the Indian democracy, has lost sight of its aims. Instead, it has decided to embark on the path of falsehood and cheap publicity for monetary gains. Driven blind by ulterior motives, media has not even stopped from flinging mud on the kind Bapu. It is an abominable attempt at sabotaging Bapu's reputation and selfless service. This unfortunate deviation of the media from truth and sacrificing BapuJi on the altar of rumours heralds a sad day for Indian journalism. Perhaps this is the outcome of commercialization of media that has money at its true north instead of truth.

Nothing can be more detrimental to a nation's future than a corrupt media that does not stop at anything when it comes to making money. By actively spreading rumours and criticizing all and sundry for everything that comes across their path and by maligning reputation of spiritual leaders of the nation, the media has not only become less authentic and authoritative, it also increasingly inviting wrath of the almighty lord unto who His Holiness AsaramJi Bapu has dedicated his life and work.

Sant Sree Asaramji Bapu to finally receive medical attention for fothergill's disease

At the end of a long wait, HH AsaramJi Bapu is finally all set to receive medical attention for his neurological disease commonly known as Trigeminal neuralgia or Fothergill's disease or Trinadi Shool in Hindi. It must be noted that the saint has been suffering from severe headaches and discomfort for the last decade or so and this fact was brought to light by his physician Neta Dwara in court. Conditions aggravate after prolonged tours, loss of sleep or because of change in environmental conditions.

The reason for this neurological discomfort can be traced deep into the human brain where three nerves ophthalmic nerve, the maxillary nerve, and the mandibular nerve come together and become the cause of discomfort ('shool' in Hindi means pain). Reference to this disease can be found in Ayurvdic discourses like 'Charak Sanghita', 'Madhab Bidhan' and 'Asthang Sangrah'.  To know more about Trigeminal neuralgia or Fothergill's disease consult a neurologist or neurosurgeon.

Sant Shree AsaramJi Bapu have been asking for medical attention all these while but the media and those that were busy with maligning his good name did not pay much heed to it. Furthermore, it must be noted that Trigeminal neuralgia cannot be detected with MRI scans, renowned physician Neta Dwara and many others has opined that the only way to get to the core of the issue is through diagnosis. There are several pathological problems of similar nature which medical equipment fails to detect and the only way physicians detect such diseases is by diagnosis.

Thanks to the untiring efforts put by Bapu's lawyers and medical expertise of physicians, the court has finally agreed to refer him to medical attention. The only known successful way to treat this medical condition is an Ayurvedic process known as ShiroDhara and his holiness is all set to benefit from it soon.

Will the media ever get over its smear campaign

Journalism which is considered the fourth pillar of democracy is quickly becoming the cause of misery and trouble for the people of the country. In the west when media began doubting at the credibility and truth in the message of spiritual mentors, people began losing faith on them and gradually but definitely they went further and further from the truth and path of enlightenment. What has happened thereafter has since then become evident to all of us. History stands witness to the truth that each time men has asked questions or pointed fingers at a saint, it has lost its path and become corrupt. The lesson we need to draw from this is that frowning on saints and their selfless service based on the words of commercial media is the pall bearer of catastrophes. The strength of a united nation is well known to us, which is why we cannot afford to forget that the country we live has grown stronger and stayed united because of countless efforts and sacrifices made by holy saints like His Holiness AsaramJi Bapu.

Therefore, perhaps it would not be an exaggeration to say that this nation will always remain indebted to the great sacrifices made over ages to tie us all together with the string of love and devotion. The moment we forget that and begin questioning lessons taught by our gurus and raise eyebrow on their credibility because of a handful of money minded journalists choose to criticize them; we will have made their great sacrifices futile and entirely worthless.

It pains us to say that current developments in our nation have propelled us all down the wrong path and most of us are not even aware of it. Not too long ago conspirators of His Holiness Sant AsaramJi Bapu began an attack on his character and the media jumped at the chance of making money with this insane character assassination. Since then, media has been constantly dealing blows under the belt at every opportunity and conspirators of Sant AsaramJi Bapu gave ample moments to capitalize. Quite recently Bapu's son has come under attack as well. The question we ask - will there ever be an end to this smear campaign?

Lord Shiva’s Family Similar to Sant Shree Asaramji Bapu’s Family

His holiness Sant Shree Asaramji Bapu is considered among the top spiritual leaders of the world today. The saint has attained Brahmic knowledge and his conscience is one with the transcendental supreme power. He, like other great saints in our Hindu tradition such as Maharishi Vedvyasa, teaches his disciples to lead happy ad respectable life while being a family man. Disciples of the Sant compare Lord Shiva’s family with Bapu’s family where his wife Laxmi Devi, his illustrious son Narayan Sai and his virtuous daughter Bharati Dvi reside.

The pious wife Laxmi Devi is an outstanding example for the modern Indian woman who considers her husband as her closest friend, teacher and God. Maa Laxmi Devi  is thankful for having the saintly Bapu as her life partner, Bapu was with her at the beginning and he will be with her till the very end of her  complete and happy life. She has imbibed the age old Indian tradition of seeing her husband as an entity equal to God.  Seeing the selfless love and service of respectable Bapuji, his wife Laxmi Devi believes herself to be the luckiest women on earth because she has become united with the incarnation of God in the shape of his holiness Asaramji Bapu. Maa Laxmi Devi’s role as the perfect life partner, daughter in law and mother is comparable to none in today’s time.  Her loyalty and compassion towards her husband and children along with her respect for BapuJi as her spiritual mentor has remained strong through all odds.

BapuJi’s illustrious son and daughter have never for a moment left their father’s  in these hard times and have been continuously supported him with love and devotion. Those that are trying to malign and bring disrepute to the glorious family of Lord Shiva’s image Sant Shree Asaramji Bapu will never succeed in doing so because of the strong bond of love and devotion within the family and millions of disciples all over the globe that comprise the complete family of Bapu Ji.

Mata Laxmi Devi sums up the sentiment of her global family with her words, “…He is such a patient and pious person. Millions come to him for knowledge and kindness. These hateful and malignant accusations will not stick. He is like the sun and the cloud of false allegations will not last longer”.

Love and Devotion In BapuJi’s Family Strong As Ever

In the last several months we have seen attacks on His Holiness Asaramji Bapu and his family from many quarters. The most dastardly and maligning  in nature has that been of the media which has sold itself out to some people with vested interest in order to get quick and easy TRPs.  We have come across absurd allegations that have the potentiality of shaking the foundation of even the strongest family, but Sant Shree AsaramJi Bapu’s family is no ordinary one.

Those that have seen the true self of the kindly Bapu strike down all the recent media allegations and false cases as absurd and ridiculous. There is no doubt that AsaramJi Bapu’s success and rise as the foremost leader of the masses has displeased many and it is such people who have brought about a tsunami of accusations to deluge and wash away the truth, but little do they know that like the rising sun dispels darkness, the truth about Bapuji will conquer all falsehood. Detractors of Bapu and his family will not be pleased to know this, but what has been happening recently has only made the bond of love and devotion many times stronger and better. Besides, disciples from every nook and corner of the world have poured in their love and dedication to see that the name of Sant Shree Asaramji Bapu is cleared of all rumors.

Followers of the great spiritual leader do not believe in any of the rubbish spread by the paid media and to counter that and protect the name of Bapu and his godly family they have come together in an unprecedented manner. The love is overwhelming and very necessary for the supporters to keep fighting against massive waves of accusations that keep coming one after another.  The recent to have made the rounds in media is that Narayan Saiji, the illustrious and kind son of His Holiness AsaramJi Bapu was running away from the law. Nothing could be further from the truth. Saiji was contemplating with his legal advisors for the best path to collaborate and cooperate with the law because his sole aim was and remains to bring justice to his family and reinstate the sanctity of his family that had been violated by people with ulterior motives.

As the sun rises and conquers darkness, so will the truth defeat falsehood as soon as the law has taken its course. In the meantime, we, the extended family of Bapu need to support him with our love and devotion and not believe in false accusations.

Enhancing Body Strength And Removing Impurities Using Traditional Medicine

His holiness Asaramji Bapu has relentlessly worked for brining to light the great benefits of traditional Indian medicines used by Yoga gurus and saints in our country since ages. One such priceless gift of nature is cow urine which is a priceless panacea that has been exalted by all and sundry for its medicinal properties. Cow urine contains carbolic acid and it serves as a purifier of the human body and destroys harmful organisms and bacteria in the body. It is a golden medicine that is beneficial for people of all ages.

Sant Asaramji Bapu has understood the benefits of cow urine and spread the health benefits through his disciples and followers all over the world. This traditional wealth of a cure can be bought at all Sant Shri Asaramji ashrams at a very affordable price.

The ideal way to benefit from cow urine is to take it in the morning after sieving it 7 times using a cloth. After consuming it, nothing should be eaten for another 2 to 3 hours. To get special benefits, you can add gilroy extracts to it. In case you cannot find fresh cow's urine, it is available at Sant Shri Asaramji Ashrams and seva centres all over the country.

Clarification of Charges Levelled Against Asaramji Bapu

On 6th of November 2013, charges were levelled against his holiness, our spiritual leader AsaramJi Bapu at the Jodhpur session court. The details of that charge sheet have already been presented by the media more than once, but there is a need to present it in the true light, details are as follows:

1. The primary charge sheet consists of 15 pages, which consists allegations levelled against AsaramJi Bapu by a female complainant who is a resident of Shahjahanpur.

2. The charge sheet also contains accounts provided by 58 witnesses. Altogether, the charge sheet consists of 1012 pages.

3. Sections and clauses mentioned in the charge sheet are following:

i) IPC (Indian Penal Code) Section 342, 376(2)(f), 376(D), 370(4), 109, 120B, 506

ii) POSCO Act Section 5(f)(g)/6, 7/8, 17

iii) JJ Act Section 23 and 26

It must be noted that there the charge sheet does not contain any charges of rape, it therefore begs the question - why has authorities slapped IPC sections related to rape?

These charges and allegations have been applied because law enforcement authorities were under pressure from the media and conspirators who are planning to malign the good name of the holy saint. The truth is far from these allegations and it will be brought to light once the case is brought to court of law.

Camps Conducted for the Betterment of Children

In the year 2006, Pujya Asaramji Bapu highlighted the need for educating children with invaluable treasures from our ancient philosophy. To that end, Yoga and Intensive Meditation camps known as Vidhyarthi Ujjawal Bhavishya Nirman Shibirs. In the year 2006, 300 camps were organized all over the world including 4 cities In USA and 130 places worldwide.

Ever since, these camps have been organized every year all over the world regularly. This year the camps came to a conclusion on 10th November. It was a 6 day long camp that began on the 4th of November. These camps teach practical Yoga for healthy body and mind, Meditation, Prayers for peace and concentration along with Yogic procedures to augment intellect and wisdom. This also encourages children to participate in games and fun activities along with traditional exercises that promote, height, IQ, intellect and leadership quality. Special breathing techniques are also taught at these Shibirs which help in increasing height, longevity and promote healthy living.

These camps are a golden opportunity for children to gain spiritual and cultural knowledge during the duration of a few days. These camps are organized and supervised by sadhaks and volunteers who have received their knowledge first hand from Asaramji Bapu.

His holiness Asaramji Bapu has taken many initiatives in the last several years for the betterment of children and this is just one of many. Recent false allegations levelled against BapuJi has not only shocked hundreds of his followers it has also raised questions - does a saintly person who has done so much for human kind deserve such treatment at the hands of the media? It is a shame that Media has taken such a cheap step for its personal gains.

Differential Treatment of Media - Ceaseless Criticism & Attacks

The nature of the crimes committed makes this sensitive, but what we are about to say had to be said because it springs from questions that have been raised by the multitude who are at loss thanks to the duality shown by law enforcement authorities. Asaramji Bapu did not restrict the course of the law or evade arrest as alleged. He was either indisposed or busy with affairs that could not be avoided. He had to attend the cremation of a relative ion Thursday; moreover the holy saint suffers from a neurological disorder and high blood pressure. Bapu has since co operated completely with the law and his lawyers have ascertained the nation that he will not stand in the way of the law taking its course. The same however, cannot be said of other high profile criminals who have had their way in dealing with the law either because they were politically well connected or very wealthy with access to endless resources.

Ceaseless criticism and attack on Bapuji has come primarily because the saint is an easy target and the media finds targeting high profile individuals beneficial for their TRPs. If the recent crime history of the nation is checked, we will come across hundreds if not thousands of such similar allegations that were handled extremely leniently by authorities and interestingly the media did not seem to mind it then. The moment one dives deeper and compare the unfolding of events with his holiness Asaramji Bapu's case, it becomes evident that the law is not equal for all, or at least some people are allowed to be whimsical in their compliance of the law. Take the case of Tarun Tejpal which is still fresh in public consciousness.

One will recall how it did not take very long for the police to crack down on everything related to Bapu whereas when it came to Tarun Tejpal's case that sense of urgency was missing. Moreover, for someone who compares both cases with an impartial eye will realize that Tarun Tejpal and his entire organization was misogynist. Ex-employees of Tehelka point out that the discrimination against women was officially sanctioned. In stark contrast, Asaramji Bapu had always been an advocate of respect and equality for women. Why is it then one was allowed so many days to roam freely while an aged saint who has rendered limitless service for mankind criticized attending a funeral? This is nothing but differential treatment because revered Asaramji Bapu was an easy target for the media. It's high time that we #StopMediaTrial

Regulation of Electronic Media - - The Targeted Saints

In less than 2 decades Indian media has grown exponentially. In 1991, there were only a handful of channels and they were owned by the national broadcaster Doordarshan and apart from that there were just the BBC World service and VOA (Voice of America), since then the scene has changed beyond recognition thanks to thriving joint ventures taking place between Indian entities and foreign owned channels like Star, Zee and NDTV among many others. These new collaborations along with international, national and local broadcasters have multiplied by bacteria on a Petri dish! These channels, websites and news portals are run by powerful elite who have an interest in news that is published in newspapers and media channels they own. There is no overseeing body to oversee operations and news published by any of these media outlets. This has at times scared people and raised concerns  about censorship that is largely absent in electronic media. It has brought infamy to many including religious saints and social workers such as Asaramji Bapu.

In case of print media, The Press Council of India governs the conduct of what is published in print, but electronic media does not to date have anything comparable to the PCI. Despite concerns being raised to bring electronic media under the purview of PCI nothing concrete has happened till date. As a result of that a lot of harm has come and until a competitive body is formed there are very little hopes of electronic media refraining from circulating manufactured evidence for their personal gains. One such case of the Indian media doing harm than good is shameful handling of the Ishrat Jahan murder case. The Intelligence Bureau created fake evidence against the young student to which it admitted publicly, but the media could not lose out on the fact that the news was helping media companies generate immense public interest and hence money.

Even when irregularities and inconsistencies appear, the corrupt media houses that bend the truth for their benefit do not get anything more than a cursory finger wag or symbolic warnings that do not serve any purpose. The complicated, corrupt and unregulated media is not playing the role it was expected to, instead it is brining money into the coffers of these media bodies. The issue of regulating electronic media by the state is a sensitive one because doing so would be an anathema to democracy where putting media under the direct control of the state is not ideal or desirable. The desperation of the media houses to satisfy its need for TRPs do not stop at sullying dignitaries or leaders it goes beyond destroying the moral fabric of the society as well, hence some sort of legislation in electronic media is imminent.

Question Mark on the Credibility of Accuser of Narayan Sai

Less than a month ago, Satish Wadhwani, the driver, cook and body-guard of Sant Asaramji Bapu's son Narayan Sai brought allegations against his employer that were of similar nature as those level against the saint Asaramji Bapu. 37 years old Wadhwani was picked up by Indore police following a complaint by a woman who claims Wadhwani molested her. This case of violation of decency is crucial to the case pending against Narayan Sai because Satish Wadhawani, the complainant in this case is himself under the scanner after questions have been raised against his moral forthrightness.

Satish Wadhwani - The accuser who became the accused

Not much is known about Satish Wadhwani. It is said that he was in employment of Narayan Sai from 1994 to 2011 and currently works as a broker for betel trade products in the Siyaganj Mandi in Indore, MP. He is a resident of Manik Bagh locality in Indore.

This person shot into limelight thanks to indiscreet attention bestowed to him despite his less than upright credentials. He alleged that Narayan Sai was running money lending and sex rackets from his Khandwa Road ashram.

Turn of events

In less than a month since allegations were raised against the son of Asaramji Bapu, the accuser was nabbed by Indore police and grilled on charges of molestation and sexual assault on a woman.

The question we need to be asking ourself post this turn of events is should the media have given so much weight to the accusations of a person who cannot be credited with a clean moral, let alone compare his work with the selfless service and humanitarian tasks accomplished by Narayan Sai or the saint Asharamji Bapu.

It is rather scary to realize the fact that the media has lost its discrimination in conducting impromptu trials of leading spiritual saints and leaders of our nation. This trial by media should be shunned and brought to end because it encourages fame-hungry crowds to sling mud on dignitaries and leaders for a few minutes in lime light.

Has the media become tool for everyone to use to attain cheap fame? Why was the credibility of the source not ascertained before portraying him as an upright whistle blower? Will the media apologize for the irreparable damage it has brought upon the good name of the saint and his followers? This remains unanswered.

Ruling Over Your Mind – Teachings of Holy Saint Asaramji Bapu

The holy saint Asaramji Bapu explains in his simple teachings how we are lost in the glamour of the west and letting go of our priceless tradition and heritage in our pursuit of the wealth and worthless pleasures. When a person is engaged with the worldly glamour of things around him, he is in being deceived by his restless mind to seek more of the same glittering falseness.

Asaram ji Bapu teaches that if one wishes to attain supreme goodness, he must train his mind to be quiet and steady. The urges of mind must be brought under control because a mind that is allowed to roam freely prevents you from attaining true happiness. To elucidate his teachings, his holiness Asaram ji Bapu uses the example of Prince Uddalak.

Prince Uddalak realized deceptions of the mind at a very early age and he often retreated to the calmness of mountain caves to reflect upon the failures and foolishness to which his mind led. He would take his mind to task every single day and counsel it to stop wandering and running after sensory pleasures of the five senses. Good perfume, taste and good music often distracted him and took his focus away from the all-important task of self realization. Transitory happiness was not what the Prince sought and so he rebuked his mind for impairing his energy, intellect and health.

Saint Asaram asks a simple question to all his followers who are still strung to the shackles of worldly senses - why doesn't the simple fact dawn on you that all happiness in this world are short lived and transient? You have lost or abandoned all of that in your previous lives, why is it then that you still run after them? Only meditation will lead you to the path of self realization of the true self and that alone should be your sole task. The mind is very deceptive and so it should not be trusted. You should keep a strict vigil on your mind and make it follow all your commands and never let it work the other way round.
