Finally, Its Time That Justice Prevailed

Social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook are mirrors to our society and what happens on these popular platforms are quite likely to be a good indication of what and how people perceive events around them. In recent times there has been many that has caught the imagination of the smartphone-generation, giving them enough reasons to voice their opinions.

In India, we have had too many things to worry about, but one of the most pressing of all issues was the ill treatment meted out to our beloved AsaramJi Bapu. What cannot be described as anything but a conspiracy, some women brought rape allegations on the saintly Holyman and spread hateful disinformation which eventually led to his arrest. In the last several months that he has been in jail, prosecution has failed to prove their case but on the outside, media personnels have literally launched dastardly attacks on everybody related to him including his wife, son and daughter.

The entire nation stood witness to that for quite long  but when they saw it was all a subversive tactic by political powers to use BapuJi against their political rivals. Gradually, but assuredly people began trusting in the innocence of the holy Saint and began supporting him whole heartedly.

In December last year, Twitter erupted with voices of the supporters who recognized the need to be vocal about their protests. Previously, similar protests had gone up in several parts of Gurgaon and Noida in order to lean on decision makers to work hastily in order to bring the curtain down on what was being done against one of the most pious and kind hearted man our nation has seen in ages. On January 6th, 2014, national newspapers reported similar movements regarding support for AsaramJi Bapu. It must be noted that the support seen in this second wave was much more potent than  the first wave and proved that more and more people are beginning to question the propriety of the case and leaning in favour of seeing kind AsaramJi Bapu free.
